KEY RESPONSBILITIES
Reporting to the Director Athletics, the position will discharge the following responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III men's and women's swimming and diving program, including scheduling, practices, competition coaching, recruiting, budgeting, fundraising, and team travel.
Mentor and coach student-athletes, supporting skill development and an understanding of strategies necessary for competitive success.
Maintain thorough knowledge of and comply with all applicable University, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Oversee the day-to-day operation, administration, and maintenance of the Fredonia State Natatorium.
Schedule and coordinate all Natatorium facility usage, including approved use by community and external organizations, as needed.
Work collaboratively with Facilities Services to ensure proper pool maintenance, safety standards and compliance, and maintain accurate records of facility usage.
Recruit, train, schedule, certify, supervise, and evaluate applicable staff, including lifeguards, meet management personnel, and support staff.
Participate in required continuing education to maintain certifications.
Demonstrate a high level of motivation with strong interpersonal skills.
Participate in committees and provide service to the Department, University, and Profession.
This is a full-time,12-month SL-3, term-appointed coach position. The start date will be negotiated with the final candidate and be no later than July 1, 2026. The salary range for this position is $58,000-$60,000, commensurate with experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Demonstrated record of successful swim and/or dive ability
Demonstrated record of coaching and recruiting in the sport of swimming and/or diving
Demonstrated willingness and ability, to travel and work a flexible schedule
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and work with student employees
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and the needs of diverse faculty, staff, students, and university community
Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues for program growth and enhancement
Valid driver's license and ability to pass LENS certification
Possess current Certified Pool Operator, Lifeguard Instructor, and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications or ability to immediately obtain
