I help clients identify and challenge beliefs and behaviors that may limit their success. All clients experience a deeper level of self-awareness.

What is your coaching philosophy?

I provide a safe, confidential space where clients view me as their trusted confidante. While it's incredibly important to have someone to listen, I believe coaching should lead to tangible results for the client. I provide a structured approach to the coaching session to help clients get what they came for. I partner with clients to help them develop the next steps toward their goals and strategies for overcoming challenges and obstacles.

What strengths do you have as a coach?

I'm a good listener. I am empathetic and supportive. I apply my knowledge of human behavior in the workplace, team dynamics, and best practices in managing people and performance gained from my HR experience. I bring a keen understanding of associations from my work experience.

What types of clients do you work with?

I work with individuals seeking to develop leadership skills or achieve career goals, including association CEOs, executives, and professionals. Additionally, I often work with clients on time management, habit formation, and preparing for crucial conversations.

What is your professional background?

My background is in human resources in associations, consulting firms, and other professional service firms. Coaching was a natural next step in my career, and I completed an ICF-approved coaching program and earned the ACC certification from the International Coaching Federation. After leading the HR function in an association for over 13 years, I fulfilled my lifelong dream to live in Europe. When I relocated, I opened MEBrennan Consulting, which provides HR consulting services and coaching to a varied clientele, including small and large US associations and a government consulting firm, as well as individuals seeking leadership and career coaching. (Don't worry-I work during US business hours!) I am certified to use the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and am an experienced user of several other assessments. I earned an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
