The Records Manager is responsible for the implementation of the Firm's strategic plan relating to effective management of client information for the Washington office. This position will work directly with lawyers and staff to execute active records management operations. The Manager will demonstrate initiative, set priorities, and provide developmental support on the uniform implementation of processes and procedures for records functions in conjunction with the Firm's Information Governance team. These functions include, but are not limited to; physical records management, information mobility (file transfers), information barriers, legal holds, and retention of client records in compliance with Firm policies. This position requires extensive knowledge of legal recordkeeping and experience with technology solutions related to records management. The position will also require tactical project skills to implement performance measurements to ensure the integrity of client information and records during the information lifecycle. The Manager is expected to maintain expertise in the tasks or services provided by the Records Department and to work on, as well as delegate, tasks assigned to the department. The Manager will interact with differing levels of the office including lawyers, legal staff, and office administration.
