The City of Austin is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the Director of Capital Delivery Services position. This role reports to an Assistant City Manager.
The next Director of Austin Capital Delivery Services will have several exciting challenges to address and areas of opportunity to excel. Among these is the need to provide oversight of the Capital Project Delivery $7billion budget and development of the next bond program. The successful candidate will be instrumental in partnering with environmental, public safety, water, aviation, mobility, and construction stakeholders to ensure the highest levels of success and satisfaction for Capital Project Delivery.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader with a proven track record of impactful Capital Delivery Projects and initiatives. The selected candidate will utilize their previous experience delivering Capital Improvement Projects to advance outcomes for the department and the City. Utilizing a creative solutions mindset, the next Director of Austin Capital Delivery Services will leverage their expertise to collaborate and move projects forward to completion, while ensuring trust in the community.
Education: Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering, Business, Public Administration, or a closely related field. A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for two (2) years of the required work experience.
Experience: Ten (10) years of related experience, five (5) of which were in a managerial capacity.
