Pathologists' Assistant - Geisinger Medical Center - Full Time - Evenings
Job SummaryThis position is under the direct or indirect supervision of a Pathologist. Assists in the preparation and performance of human surgical-specimen dissections for microscopic examination, special procedures and biospecimen banking. Performs human postmortem examinations, and assists the Pathologists in the implementation and monitoring of the Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement Program in Anatomic Pathology.Job DutiesAssists the Pathologist in the preparation and performance of human surgical specimen dissection and performs human postmortem examinations.Obtains pertinent clinical information and history, laboratory data, x-rays, and scans, and assess legal authorizations for autopsies.Describes gross anatomic features and dis
