This position oversees the daily activities of the medication management process and provides comprehensive pharmacy services to patients from neonate to young adulthood while performing the duties of a registered pharmacist as defined by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy and Phoenix Children’s. This position also ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations as well as proper storage and documentation. This position receives supervision and leadership oversight from Inpatient Pharmacy leaders.
Education
Bachelor?s Degree (BS) or Doctorate Degree (Pharm.D.) in Pharmacy or graduating from an accredited school or college of pharmacy in the next 6 months. (Required)
Completion of a post graduate year 1 (PGY-1) pharmacy residency program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). (Preferred)
Experience
Experience with information systems and automated and technical equipment. (Required)
One year of experience in a hospital pharmacy practice or equivalent. (Preferred)
One year of previous pediatric patient population experience or equivalent. (Preferred)
Certifications
Current licensure as a Pharmacist or eligible, either by reciprocity or examination by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy. (Required)
Current BLS and PALS or ACLS for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Preferred)
Special Skills
Experience with various types of computer software, including MS Office Suite or equivalent. (Required)
Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with other team members to support a cohesive work environment by demonstrating empathy, teamwork, and willingness to give and receive constructive feedback. (Required)
