The Executive Director will act as the chief executive officer of the Center for the Arts, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead a cultural institution from its inception. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of CFA’s design, construction, and operational launch while laying the groundwork for its long-term success.

Fundraising and Donor Relations
As the public face of the Center for the Arts, the Executive Director will play a significant role in fundraising, working closely with the Development Director to cultivate relationships with donors and funding organizations.
Design, Construction, and Program Development
The Executive Director will oversee the creation of CFA’s physical and programmatic infrastructure, ensuring alignment with the center’s mission and vision.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement
Building strong relationships with community members, arts organizations, and educational institutions will be a key focus for the Executive Director.
The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with the skills and experience to guide the creation of a world-class performing arts center.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of senior leadership experience in the performing arts, cultural institutions, or related fields.
Proven success in leading large-scale projects, from concept to execution.
Demonstrated expertise in fundraising, including major gifts, capital campaigns, and donor cultivation.
Strong background in financial management, with experience overseeing budgets of $5M+.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and trust among donors, stakeholders, and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with architects, developers, or construction teams on complex projects.
Familiarity with the performing arts landscape in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
A background in education, arts programming, or audience engagement strategies.
Passion for community-building and making the arts accessible to diverse populations.
