This position is responsible for the administration & management of the Pierre Regional Airport an FAR Part 139 operation. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all FAA & TSA rules & regulations and acts as liaison with FAA, TSA, and DOT. Directs the operations of the airport fire rescue unit. Formulates, recommends, & implements policies related to federal & state aviation programs, rules & regulations. Oversees airport planning & administers the airport’s Capital Improvement Plan. Oversees Airport leases, and works with existing and potential tenants regarding construction activities and development. Acts as Airport Security Coordinator. Inspects, reports, & acts to remedy operational deficiencies. Oversees the maintenance of runways, taxiways, & ramps to include snow & ice removal.
