Facilities Services supports KU's mission of learning, scholarship, and creative endeavor by operating and maintaining the University's physical plant and grounds. Duties include the skilled construction, maintenance, and repair of items such as counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, ceilings, acoustical ceilings, roofs, foundations, and furniture. Considerable latitude is given to complete projects and work is general reviewed for results after the project is completed. All work must be performed to National Building Code, National Fire and Safety Code, University and State policies and procedures. The incumbent may act as a lead worker to less skilled maintenance employees. This position requires the operation of a work issued vehicle.
