Required Qualifications: - Knowledge of the principles and practices of civil and architectural engineering.
- Awareness of the terminology and standard abbreviations used in civil and architectural engineering.
- Ability to analyze and determine the applicability of civil engineering data, to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as plans, specifications, blueprints, and drawings.
- Knowledge of the methods of general and technical report writing.
- Knowledge of the methods used in the preparation of charts, graphs and tables.
Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering and architectural design, and application of general engineering concepts.
- Critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- General understanding of interior construction including architectural elements, lighting, electrical, HVAC, concepts of structural design and use of appropriate building codes.
- Capacity to multitask and manage several projects at one time.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues and external constituents.
- Strong written, verbal and graphic communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Capacity to maintain accurate records and exercise discretion in handling confidential information.
