The Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician.
Duties include, but are not limited to: - Conduct daily inspections in addition to 5010 inspections annually - Conduct fuel farm inspections according to Federal & State Regulations - Monitoring activity airports and addressing or notifying others to address unsafe operations Issue Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs) - Be available for snow removal operations at airports and operate heavy equipment year-round - Ensure VT stormwater systems are in compliance - Respond to airport emergencies which may include working weekends, holidays, and/or overtime - Monitor weather radar, read aviation weather forecasts and weather observations to answer inquiries via radio or in person from pilots - Ensure compliance with hazardous materials including documentation of receipt proper storage, proper handling and current MSDS sheets are available to users
Four (4) years or more of transportation maintenance or construction experience including experience operating a snowplow AND experience in aviation or airport maintenance. OR Two (2) year as an Airport Maintenance Worker II.
