Description:

Our client has an immediate need for a Senior Electrical Engineer – Substation Design Engineering, who is responsible for the review and delivery of substation design drawings for capital and maintenance projects, including single lines, substation layouts, plans and sections, and associated equipment drawings that adhere to all applicable standards

Requirements:

• Four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university
• 7+ years of experience designing substation equipment for electric utilities

Responsibilities:

• Design and prepare drawings/sketches for substation design equipment at the 23kV, 69kV, 138kV, and 345kV voltages
• Ensure sound engineering principles are employed and in accordance with all applicable codes (NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE) and federal, state, and local codes
• Provide training and mentorship to other engineers in the group, related to substation design
• Attend field meetings at substations, in support of substation design work.
• Review, mark-up, and finalize junior engineers’ design prints, prior to issue for construction
