The Bloomberg American Health Initiative seeks to make progress on five challenges facing health in the United States: addiction and overdose, environmental challenges, obesity and the food system, risks to adolescent health, and violence. A key part of the initiative is the Bloomberg Fellows Program, which is designed for individuals who are currently working with organizations on the front lines of one of these five challenges in the United States. Bloomberg Fellows pursue either an MPH or a DrPH degree and center their studies in their focus area and engage with their organization while at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
